The Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner releases quarterly statistical reports to support transparency, align its activities with its mission, assess its workload and identify trends.
The reports contain data on various activity areas, such as the provision of direction and advice to public office holders and Members of the House of Commons, education and outreach, and enforcement. They also include figures on how the Office meets its service standards.
We use the data internally to gauge our workload and performance, and to measure progress towards the objectives set out in our strategic plan. The data also contributes to strategic decision-making.
Each report is released on the last business day of the month following the end of the quarter for which the data is compiled. The aggregated data for each fiscal year is published in the Commissioner’s annual reports under the Conflict of Interest Act and the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons.
