The Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner releases quarterly statistical reports to support transparency, align its activities with its mission, assess its workload and identify trends.
The reports contain data on various activity areas, such as the provision of direction and advice to regulatees, education and outreach, and enforcement. They also include figures on how the Office meets its service standards.
The Office uses the data internally to gauge its workload and performance, and to measure progress towards the objectives set out in its strategic plan. The data also contribute to strategic decision-making.
Each report is released at the end of the month following the end of the quarter for which the data is compiled. The aggregated data for each fiscal year are published in the Commissioner’s annual reports under the
Conflict of Interest Act and the
Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons.
