The Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons applies to all Members when carrying out the duties and functions of their office, including those who are ministers or parliamentary secretaries. The Office has prepared a Summary of Rules for Members of the House of Commons.
It does not apply to Members’ staff, who are instead subject to policies administered by the House of Commons.
Members who are ministers or parliamentary secretaries must also comply with the Conflict of Interest Act.
