The Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner is an independent Officer of the House of Commons who is responsible for administering the Conflict of Interest Act for public office holders and the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons.
The Commissioner is supported by an Office that is part of Canada’s ethical framework and whose history mirrors the development of Canada’s federal conflict of interest regimes.
