Political Activities: Rules for Members of the House of Commons

​​​​​There is no mention of pol​itical activities in the Con​flict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons, but it does state that a Member does not breach the Code if the Member’s activity is one in which Members normally and properly engage on behalf of their constituents.

However, there are some considerations that Members who are ministers or parliamentary secretaries should keep in mind when a federal election is underway:
