The Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner enjoys the privileges and immunities (special legal protections) of the House of Commons and its Members when carrying out his duties and functions in relation to Members of the House of Commons.

Official Languages
The Commissioner’s Office follows the Official Languages Act.
It ensures the information it shares on social media is available in French and English and that both versions are of equal quality.
Retweets
The Commissioner’s Office may use its social media accounts to retweet posts by other users, but this does not mean it endorses them.
Retweets in X remain in the language of the original author.
Following and unfollowing
Decisions by the Commissioner’s Office to follow particular social media users, or their appearance as followers of its accounts do not imply endorsement of any kind.
