Reporting Rules for Members of the House of Commons

In order to achieve and maintain compliance with the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons, Members face various reporting requirements.

They must complete an initial compliance process that begins soon after they are elected or re-elected. They also face a number of ongoing reporting requirements throughout their terms of office.

The Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner maintains a public registry of publicly declarable information under the Code. It contains information for current Members only. Once an individual ceases to be a Member, their information is removed from the registry and is no longer available from the Office.
