Advisory Opinions (Code)

The Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner issues advisory opinions to inform Members of the House of Commons about matters related to the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons.

Advisory opinions set forth the Commissioner’s interpretation of its provisions as they apply to specific cases. Authority to publish opinions for the guidance of Members is provided in subsection 26(4) of the Code.
